About Dave... |
|
|
Dave got his start diving back in 1984
hooking up moorings and rafts on Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. In 1985 he left
for shores unknown in the US Navy. Dave, striving to be the best he could
be, volunteered for BUD/s (basic Underwater Demolition SEAL training),
and by the age of 20 was a operating member of SEAL Team 2 in Little Creek,
VA. Dave's love for the water prompted him to become the Submersible
Systems department Head for 4th Platoon. There he was responsible for the
diving training schedule and the upkeep of all the platoon's diving gear,
including all open circuit and Drager LAR 5 Rebreathers. |
Dave attended countless combat diver
training courses and also was responsible for
training and re-qualifications for SEAL Team 2's 4th platoon. Dave logged
countless hours of rebreather and open circuit time all over the world while in
SEAL 2. Dave opened Trident Diving Service in the
spring of 1990 after the NAVY, primarily as a mooring service and diving
company. Wanting to continue his education he started in the military,
Dave went to college in Minneapolis, MN. There, working for a dive shop, he
became an active NAUI scuba instructor. Not satisfied with working for someone,
Dave came home to continue Trident Diving services and open Fathom Divers Scuba
Center at Lake Winnipesaukee, NH.
Dave used his military background and incorporated with
modern scuba practices to develop his own teaching style, which has been
complimented and copied worldwide! As Trident's
business grew, Dave decided to to put more effort into the marine construction
operations by incorporating a Barge into the mix. This
led to a massive growth in business and the renaming to
Trident Mooring, Dock and Barge company. In 2005, the workload
exceeded Dave's expectation, so he approached his long-time friend and fellow
entrepreneur Scott Young to partner with him to better serve the needs of the
customers of the Lake's Region.
Dave is not just a great diver and
marine contractor, he is also a published author of two great books! For more
